Candle Care
A candle is only as beautiful as the intention behind it. Care for yours, and it will care for the space around you.
Every piece from Incandescent Reflections is handcrafted with precision and purpose. To honor that craftsmanship — and to get the most from your candle — we invite you to follow these simple care rituals.
Candle Care Rituals
- Trim your wick to ¼ inch before the first light and before every use. This ensures an even, clean burn and protects the integrity of the flame.
- Keep your candle free of any foreign materials — including match debris and wick trimmings. A clean candle is a lasting candle.
- Always burn on a level, fire-resistant surface. Stability is everything — for candles and in life.
- Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Rest is part of the ritual. Extinguish, allow to cool, and return when you’re ready.
- To extinguish, gently blow out the flame or use a wick dipper or snuffer. Never use the lid — let the flame rest on its own terms.
Safety & Mindfulness
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Presence is the point.
- Keep away from drafts, vents, and vibrations that may disturb the flame.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Never place near anything flammable. Your sanctuary should always feel safe.
- Never use a lid or seal to extinguish the flame — lids may be made of materials that can melt or warp under heat.
“Let the light reveal the intentions.”
